PREPARATIONS INTENSIFIED. DAIRY JUDGING ON WEDNESDAY. FOURTEEN OFFICIALS ENGAGED. With little more than a week remaining before the opening day, the work of preparing the Waikato Winter Show buildings for the great exposition has intensified three-fold. A small army of men is engaged in the various sections, and there is every indication that this year’s show, which is to be opened on Tuesday, May 31, will be bigger, brighter, and better than ever.

Excellent entries have been received in all classes, the home industries, dairy section, and roots- receiving particularly good support. The work of arranging the dairy exhibits is well forward, and on Wednesday 14 judges will commence on Hie record entry of butter and cheese. A great variety of commercial and industrial displays will be set up for show patrons this year, while the amusement section is reported to be more extensive than ever.

Many interesting competitions have been incorporated in tire syllabus, Including a special class .for garden produce grown by relief workers under the Welfare League scheme. Many cups and other trophies will again be offered in the various sections.
