AMATEUR ACTIVITIES.

Hamilton Operatlo Society.

The committee of the Hamilton Operatic Society has had reluctantly »o give up its hope of producing "Katja, owing to the fact that when the scoie arrived it was found that there was no work for the chorus in the colourful musical comedy, practically all the work being limited to half a dozen principals.
