REPARATIONS AND DEBTS.
ATTITUDE OF FRANCE. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. PARIS, May 17. In an exclusive interview with a representative of the British United Press, M. Ilerriot declared that no reduction of Germany’s reparations was possible unless America and Britain agreed to equivalent reductions in the war debt payments to them. With regard to armaments M. Herriot emphasised that reduction was dependent upon security. He urged the organisation of an international amer force.
There appears, therefore, to be no change in France’s attitude on these two vital issues.
