LIQUOR AT DANCES
CHURCH BOARD CONCERNED. NEW PLYAIOUTH, Sunday. The Taranaki Archdeaconry Board, at the annual meeting, passed the following resolution: —“The board views with deep concern the evils creeping into public dances, especially the introduction of liquor, and expresses the hope that church people throughout the archdeaconry will use their Influence to counteract these evils." By another resolution the board requested the committeos .of various district and other, halls to do their best to combat the evils at present connected with public dances, espesially the introduction of liquor.
