LOCAL UNEMPLOYED.
RESULT OF REFERENDUM. SUPPORT FOR MOVEMENT. A referendum was taken among the Hamilton unemployed at the end of last week as to whether they would support the Unemployed Workers’ Movement or the Hamilton Relief Workers’ and Citizens’ Association. The ballot resulted as follows: Unemployed Workers’ Movement, 176; Citizens’ Association, 32. It is stated that only about twoflfths of the total unemployed in Hamilton voted.
