UNEMPLOYMENT.
RESIGNATION OF SECRETARY. REQUEST FOR RETENTION. The Hamilton Unemployment Committee received intimation at its meeting yesterday of the resignation of the secretary, Air E. A. Latham, on account of his impending transfer back to the Post and Telegraph Department from which ho had been on loan to the Labour Department. On the motion of the chairman, Dr. F. D. Pinfold, it was decided to place on record the very good work performed by Mr Latham and the committee’s thanks to him. A! the same time it was decided to forward a request to tho Government Dial lie be retained in the present position owing to his valuable local knowledge.
