OBITUARY.
MR CHARLES PARKER. The death occurred at a private hospital in Hamilton this morning of one of Waikato’s best known and most •popular dahy farmers in Mr Charles Parker Hairlni, Te Awamutu, at the age of 52 years. The late Mr Parker ■had been farming in the Waikato for 25 years, during which time he was prominently connected with public (bodv affairs, and with any movement making for the advancement of the district. He was one of the founders, and first president, of the New Zealand Dairy Farmers’ Union, continuing in office for a period of four years. In later years the late Mr Parker devoted himself to the breeding of pedigree Jerseys, and took a leading part in the conduct of the Te Awamutu Jersey Club. The late Mr Parker was well known throughout the North Island, and his genial personality will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends. He is survived by a widow and three daughters, Mrs R. F. Crozter and Misses Thelma and Mavis Parker, all of Hairlni.

The death has occurred of Mr G. A Gamman, a well-known timber miller Mr Gamman was about 67 years of age.

WELLINGTON, Friday,
The death occurred yesterday of Captain John Ross, a former Union Steam Ship Company master for 20 years. Captain Ross was 87 years of age.

PATE A, Friday
The death has occurred at Kai-iwi of Mr W. A. Collins, chairman of the Wamranui Education Board and one of the oldest settlers in the Wanganui district.
