INTER-HOUSE COMPETITION. OPENING OP SEASON. The opening of .the'lnter-house basketball competition will take place on Tuesday evening in the Y.M.C.A. The entries for the men’s and ladies’ matches are larger than .usual. . In the men’s competition there Will be' six teams taking part, -viz., AVaikato Times, New Zealand Dairy Co., Daigety’s, National Bank, House and Daklng, and Y.M.C.A. The ladies '■have fourteen teams taking part—Bar- ■ jgain Stores (2), Y.M.C.A. (2), Dairy .(2), Appotenic, House and Daking, • 'Waikato Nurses (2), Convent Old .''Girls, St. Andrew’s, Trustees, Herd Testing. The draw for the first round is as :-follows: — ; Men.—7.37 p.m., Daigety’s v. Waikato Times; 5.47, House and Daking f-v. Y.M.C.A.; 9.40, National Bank v. •Dairy Co. , Ladies. —7.5 p.m., Trustees v.
