WEDDINGS.

RICHARDS—CORCORAN. The marriage was solemnised at St. Mark’s Church, Te Aroha, on Wednesday, netween Mary Fay, elder daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Frank Corcoran, of Te Aroha, and niece of Sir James Parr, and Thornton Herbert, younger son of Mr and Mrs G. M. Richards, of Ruakiwi. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. L. Connolly, Miss M. Malngay officiating at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Norman Corcoran, wore a full-length frock of ivory silk marlette cut on classical lines. The fully flared skirt, which was relieved with inset godets of all-over lace, fell with graceful effect from a pointed lace yoke. The neckline trimming was in the form of a medicl collar. Her long veil of parchment tulle was caught te the head by a coronet of orange blossbm, and was the present of Sister Mary Josephine, of the Walhl Convent. Her bouquet was a shower of white and pale pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. Miss Nellie Corcoran, sister to the bride, acted as bridesmaid. She wore a frock of cyclamen pink georgette. The bodice was trimmed with profuse embroidery defining the pointed hip-line. The collar was trimmed with handmade georgette flowers, and her full picture hat was of lace crinoline. Her bouquet was of purple tinted flowers. Mr C. V. Sutton, cousin to the brldegoom, acted as best man. The reception took place at the Majestic Rooms, Mrs Corcoran receiving her guests in a smart frock of blue fleck charmelalne, with felt hat to tone. Mr and Mrs Richards left later by' car on their honeymoon tour, the bride’s travelling frock being of brown marocain relieved with Persian satin, and her hat and coat of brown.

POTTER—FRASER. The wedding was solemnised on Saturday, April 23, at the home of the bride's parents, between Roma Angel, second daughter of Mr and Mrs ,T. H. Potter, of “Ngaroma,” Rnngiriri, and John Lindsay, younger son of Mr and Mrs J. E. Fraser, of Mt. Eden, Auckland. The rooms were decorated with greenery and shaded dahlias. with a huge white hell in the centre under which the ceremony took place. The Rev. Malcolm Wilson officiated. The bride, who entered on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe Viennese with close-fitting bodice and gracefully flared skirt.. Her veil of old Limerick lace was caught over each ear with sprays of orange blossom, forming a train at the back. She carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums. pale pink dahlias and asparagus fern. The bridal train was carried by Heather Potter, who wore a frock of ivory broehc silk and net with frilled skirt. She wore a Juliet cap

of *pearls and carried a small posy of white and pale pink chrysanthemums. In a?ttendance as i, bridesmaids were Miss Ngarita Potter, sister of the bride, and Miss Helen Fraser, sister of the bridegroom. They both wore frocks of autumn tinted silk moire witli a fllet of autumn-tinted leaves. They carried bouquets' of autumntinted dahlias. The bridegroom was attended by Mr S. von Sturmer as best man, and Mr Gordon Fraser as groomsman. "

After the wedding ceremony a reception was held in the Pavilion Theatre. Mrs Potter received her guests wearing a frock of powder blue chiffon with blue Pandan straw hat to tone. She 'carried a bouquet of autumn shaded chrysanthemums. Mrs J. E. Fraser, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of black chenille velvet with floral design in lavender, and black felt hat with lavender plume. She carried a sheaf of lav-ender-shaded dahlias. Mrs Fry, grandmother of the bride, was dressed in floral silk taffetas with hat to tone and carried a posy to tone. Mrs A. Potter, senior, grandmother of the bride, wore an ensemble of black marocain with hat to match and carried a sheaf of deep red dahlias. The Misses Z. and S. Potter were dressed alike in cream georgette with i black hats.

Among those present were:—Mrs R. Fraser (Auckland), who wore coffee broderi englaise with musquash fur coat, and felt hat to tone; Mrs A. Potter (Pukekohe), tweed suit with black velvet toque and black fox fur; Mrs E. Pheloung (Auckland), wedgewood blue flecked tweed and felt hat to tone; Mrs Gall, navy marocain with beige and jade tonings, and beige hat; Mrs Baron, navy georgette and beige straw hat; Mrs Reston, cornflour blue and fawn chenille velvet frock with felt hat to tone; Mrs Metcalfe, black and scarlet floral silk taffeta; Miss Ward, grey marocain with saxe blue hat; Miss Mathlson, French blue ray de chine with hat to tone.
