WEDDINGS.

DAVIES —TURNWALD. The marriage was solemnised on March 28 at Christ’s Church, Ohaupo, between Dell Mabel, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Turnwald, Ohaupo, and Jack Alwyne Davies, of Taupiri. The Rev. R. Boyt was the officiating minister, and Miss N. Tapp presided at the organ. The church had been decorated by friends of the bride with blue hydrangeas and pink dahlias. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white satin beaute frock cut on classic lines with long, tight-fitting sleeves, and a spray of silver roses from the shoulder to the waistline. Her full tulle veil with embroidered border was held in place by a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and chrysanthemums, %vith touches of pale pink. Miss Zoe Turnwald, sister of the bride, and Miss Glad Ryburn were in attendance. They were dressed alike in fitting frocks of princess blue satin with cowl bodices, trimmed with pale pink bows. Their Robin Hood hats of blue felt were trimmed with pink osprey, and they carried bouquets of pink dahlias and chrysanthemums and blue delphiniums. Mr Bruce Elliot acted as best man, and Mr Maurice Davies was groomsman. On leaving the church the bridal party walked through an archway of tennis racquets formed by members of the club. A reception was held at 'the home of the bride s parents, where Mrs Turnwald received the guests wearing an ensemble of wine shaded floral crepe de chine trimmed with fawn tucked georgette. She wore a bowler hat to tone, ano. carried a posy of autumn slfided flowers. Mrs Davies, mother of the bridegroom, wore a floral black satin frock with hat to match and carried I a posy of scarlet dahlias. The bride travelled in a nigger brown ensemble trimmed with fur and Robin Hood hat t 0 Mr 1 and Mrs Davies will make their home in Ngatea.

POPE —BARLOW. The wedding was solemnised at St. ’Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, on Wednesday evening, March 23, between Miss Daisy Belle Barlow, youngest daughter of Mr and the late Mrs J. L. Barlow, of Te Aroha and Mr Ernest Rodger Pope, fourth son of Mrs and the late Mr W.• Pope,-'of Tauwhare. The Rev. Gilbert was the officiating minister. The bride entered the church with her father and wore an ankle- ength frock of nattier blue silk marocain and a summer felt hat to match, and carried an ivory prayer-book Miss Una Glover, of Te Aroha, 1 aßendec L bridesmaid, wearing a fawn toned floral ninon frock and black hat, and carried a pretty posy. Mr W. Broom stra, of Hamilton, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs W. Wiggins, Coates Street, Hamilton Ea Later in the evening Mr and Mrs Pope left by car for the wedding tiip. Mrs Wiggins received her wearing "a frock of lemon georgett and black hat. Mrs Pope,mother of, the bridegroom, wore a frock of navy satin and a black hat with jewelled ornament.
