KING’S INTEREST. MESSAGE TO CONFERENCE. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 12. The Prime Minister, in presiding at the final plenary session of the Burma Conference prefaced his statement of the Government’s policy by communicating to the conference a message from the King. His Majesty expressed formal thanks > for the loyal message sent by the conference. He added: —

“Having followed with close interest your proceedings I realise how varied and complex are the problems calling for solution between the Governments of Burma and India. I earnestly trust the result of your deliberations will further the prosperity and development of your country, and, at the conclusion of your labours, I send you my best wishes for a safe return to your home."
