OPERATIONS AT AUCKLAND.
BIDDING FAIRLY BRISK,

At the 9.30 call fresh bidding was fairly brisk and under the range of the securities asked for. 1 In the banking section Commercials were steadier with buyers .at 14s. Buyers for National of Australasia dropped their offers to'£lo 2s 6d and 'for contributing issue £4 15s was bid. New Zealands were still available at £2 4s 9d. Australian Glass shares were asked for at £1 8s 6d. Mt. Lyelfs were still In request at £1 Os 9d. Gear Meats were offered again at £1 10s, bringing a buyer at £1 ss. BALES RECORDED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday. The following sales were recorded on the Stock Exchange to-day:— Farmers’ Trading, os 9d. Farmers Fertiliser, 12s. Wailii, 16s 4d. Mt. Lyell, 20s 9d, 21s. British Tobacco, 27s 3d. > New Zealand Insurance, 40s 6d. Union Bank, £7 16s. Gisborne Sheepfarmers. £7 r . Government 54 per cent. (1933), £99 ss. Auckland Gas Company, 17s 6d.
