CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Telepraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At the United Swimming 1 Club’s carnival to-night, the Canterbury championship events resulted as follows.— Men's 220 yards breaststroke: Herd, 1; Hunter 2. Time, 3m 10s. 150 yards backstroke: Moorhouse was the only starter. Time, Jm 535. Junior girls’ 100 yards: R. Low, i. Time 7 6 4-ss. Junior Roys’ 100 yards: Rimmer, 1; Donaldson, 2. 'Time 70s.
A Canterbury record for 50 yards of 25 1-5 s was established by E. McUoilviliQ.
