WAITERIMU SPORTS’ CLUB.

SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. The Walterimu Sports’ Club held a very successful meeting in Mr J. Storey's paddock under ideal weather conditions. .There was a record attendance. ' The success of the meetlrig’Svas due to the untiring efforts of the hon. secretary, Mr'J. Leslie, .and his stewards, Messrs Dryderi. iC; Begbie, Montgomerie (2),. G. Hinton, 11. Newton and A. Brash. The president, ■Mr'C. Storey, also did the work of two men. ’ ' ! Mr : Newell, of Cambridge, was the judge. of the horse events, assisted by Mr'John Storey, and Mr. A. Brash was handlcapper. Messrs lies and Taylor ran the children’s races, while Mr W. Lawry made a very efficient clerk of the course.
