APPLYING COSMETICS
ADVICE FOR SUMMER MONTHS.
The summer is not kind to our complexions. Tho first thing wo must do when the hot weather begins is to change the quality of our make-up. The powder must be lighter in texture, and the vanishing cream the very lightest we can buy. It is advisable also to use liquid rouge for the face and indelible lip stick so that, it docs not smear.
The next thing we must, make up nur minds to do is to use less of everything. "With that coat of tan that, we acquired at. the beaches this should not bo hard. A thin coat ofpowder and bright, lip rouge should be satisfactory enough. In the summer it is exceedingly important to remove cosmetics thoroughly eacti night before retiring. Soap should be used more frequently than during cold weather. 'A mild soap can ‘be used every night for skins that are not too tender. Then a good thin cleansing cream should
he applied on (lie face and with a soft, tissue.
