Kelling (Wellington) beat H. N. Maddox ■- (Auckland); A. W. Gyles (Wellington) beat C. J. S. Purdy (New South Wales); E. L. Smith (Napier) beat K. O'Hailoran (Napier); E. S. Rutherfurd (Taranaki) lost to W. J. Fairburn (Wellington); E. H. Soverne (Nelson) drew with J. C. Grierson (Auckland); I(ev. A. Miller (Westport) lost to R. D. Scott (Wanganui). Seventh Round. Purdy beat Miller, Grierson beat Smith, Maddox drew with Gunderson, O’Halloran lost to Kelling, Fairburn beat Gyles, Erskine beat Rutherfurd, Scott lost to Sevcrne. Eighth Round. Gunderson heal Kelling, Smith lost to Scott, Miller .beat Fairburn, Gyles lost to Erskine, O’Halloran beat Grierson. Sevcrne lost to Purdy, Rutherfurd drew with Maddox. positions of Players.
