UNEMPLOYED PICNIC.

(To the Editor.)' , Sir.—Re “Sandy’s, letter; of recent date on above:'! do not think he really understood what he was writing abopt or lie would not have .condemned us so soon for doing something for which we collected the money. I think when money is donated for a . specific purpose It is a breach of faith if that purpose is not adhered to. The people of Hamilton and district donated l*,e money spent in giving the children a real good day’s outing, and if any of them had been with us on that day they would have said that the money was well spent in spite of “Sandy" and his ilk trying to put a damper on it. I* notice that nobody has any comments to write to the papers, under a nom de plume, re other.forms of entertainment that have been arranged for the children, so why pick bn the Unemployed Committee because they set out to try and help themselves to a day’s outing with the children of their fellow relief workers. If "Sandy” wants to hear any more re 11 1 c• picnic instead, of bools and shoes for unemployed children, let him come out in the open not under a nom de plume.—l am, etc., R. W. STILL, U.W.M. Committee. Hamilton, Dec. 28, 1931.
