Karl Vanck, Secretary of the Czccho-Slovakian Diplomatic Mission, who has been accused of suggesting to a Soviet official that an attack should be made on Mr -llirola, tbs Japanese Ambassador in order to provoke war between Japan and Russia, Indignantly denies tlie story. Yanek declares that lie did not approach or suggest to Citizen G. (otherwise Goditzkc) a Moscow theatre employee, an attack on the Ambassador whose name was never mentioned. A message from Riga says an intriguing turn has been given to the affair by the curt announcement that a Soviet official known as Citizen G. died suddenly. The official explanation or the cause of his death Sm severe illness.
