ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
PILLION RIDER INJURED. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. While riding on the pillion seat of a motor-cycle Mrs Bertha Bachelor, of Avondale, was Involved in an accident which resulted in her admission to the hospital last, evening, suffering from a fractured skull. The rider of the motor-cycle was Mr W. A. Payne. He received only slight head Injuries. MOTOR CAR OVERTURNS. WIIAKATAXE, Monday. A resident of Gisborne, Mr Low, who was returning from a holiday at ltolorua, had a narrow escape from severe injury when his car overturned crossing the Whakatane Bridge this afternoon. Mr Low, who was driving alone, escaped with slight abrasions, but the car was extensively damaged.
