TRUE PATRIOTISM
Once again the Queen has shown women of the country where true patriotism lies. Her Majesty started her Christmas shopping by the purchase, at the Leathersellers’ Hall, of over 00 British handbags. With Lady Joan Yerney the Queen made the lour of the stands in the hail five times and commented on the marvellously low prices.
A while hag the Queen bought had a secret, pocket for cigarettes and matches concealed behind a mirror, which much amused her.
The Queen bought a big handbag with a jewel pocket concealed in a false lining, a stout-looking lock and miniature jewel cases with flaps of wash-leather. Several of the royal purchases were bags of chameleon skin.
