Mr Watts favoured euttlng out gambling games. The chairman said that the association was empowered to accept or decline any application for a stand. Saturday v. St. Patrick'a Day. The secretary read figures showing that from 1905 to the present Saturday had proved the most succeseful day. Outside competing bodies we-e all In favour of Saturday. The following figures give the receipts for the last five regattas, the last four of which have been held on Saturday: 1927, £886; 1928, £1078; 1929, £1413; 1930, £1241; 1931. £BlB. The last result waa due to ths slump.
