The only daughter of Hie ex-Kai-ser proposes to install a public bar, with music and dancing, in Hie Duke of Cumberland’s castle at Gmunden, near Salzkammergut, in the Austrian Alps, the owner of which is her husband. The Austrian Conservatives are horrified at the idea. Princess Victoria Louise was born in 1892, at Potsdam, and married in 1913 Ernest August, Duke of Cumberland—member of a branch of the British Royal House—who in 1918 renounced his rights to the duchy of Brunswick. They have five young children.
