NOISY STUDENTS.
ANNUAL MEETING DISTURBED. PEANUTS AND FLOUR THROWN. THE SECRETARY ABDUCTED. ■ (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. The annual meeting of students of the Canterbury University 'College, tielct last evening, was made farcical by the antics of some of those present. The meeting opened tumultuously with a storm of paper darts, peanuts, and bags of flour. The president was greeted with a Volley of missiles and terrific cheering. The minutes were read amidst a babel of noise of whistling, songs, and cheering. The balance-sheet was read in intervals of songs about beer and other beverages. At one stage later the lights were put out, and the secretary was mysteriously abducted.
