DIVERSION OF FUNDS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Reporting upon the decisions al th meeting of the North Island Moto Union, Mr L. Ashcroft Edwards tol the executive of the Wellington Auto mobile Club that objection had bee made to the diversion of Hie proceed of motor taxation to Hie Consolidate Fund. If money were not spent o roads they would go to pieces'ver quickly. If the roads deteriorate they would once more have the cr " the user must pay.'' and motorist would be asked Io pay for it. Mr Palliser said the club should take a very decided stand on the div ersion of funds which had been raises for a special purpose.
