LATE MR N. A. NATHAN
ESTATE OF £300,000. AUCKLAND, Friday. Probate of 'the will of the late Mr N. Alfred Nathan, chairman of directors of L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited, was granted by the Supreme Court yesterday, the estate being sworn at £300,000. The following bequests are provided for in the will:—To the Papatoetoe Orphan Home, £100; Auckland Jewish Benevolent Society, £100; Auckland Ladies’ Benevolent Society, £100; Auckland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Women and Children, £100; Jewish Synagogue, Princes Street, Auckland, £SOO. The trustees ar e directed to establish a trust, to be known as “The Alfred and Emily Nathan Trust," and to invest £IOOO, ami the income from time to time derivable therefrom is to be paid to the governing body for the time being of the Jubilee institute for tiie Blind, Parnell, for the purchase annually of prizes to be given to inmates of both sexes not exceeding 18 years of age. The will provides also for a number of legacies to members of tlie staff of L. D. Nathan and Company.
