Foi’-lho relief of distress in areas affected by the earthquake disaster last February a subscription list was opened by the New Zealand Federated Hold Workers’ Association, in order that contributions might be made by ils members. The appeal through unions In the various industrial districts resulted in a total of pad 1 9s ltd. most of which was expended during February and March by repesentativos of the association stationed in the affected area. The amounts from the various districts were as follow:—Wellington, £287, JSs; Auckland, £3a Gs; Dingo, £2O Gs; Taranaki, £10; Nelson, £7 17s (id; Canterbury, £3 3s; Marlborough, £1 9s. The Wellington total includes the’ sum of £2OO donated by the Weir Unaton union.
