NEW ZEALAND CRICKETERS THE HAMPSHIRE MATCH. VISITORS ONLY COMPILE 79. COUNTY DECLARE WITH 57 FOR 9. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received July 29, 10.35 a.m.) BOURNEMOUTH, July 28. The New Zealand cricketers’ return match against Hampshire was concluded to-day and tlie match was again drawn. There was no play yesterday owing to heavy showers, and on Saturday the County had made 80 for the loss of six wickets.

To-day Hampshire scored 104 in their first venture and the visitors were dismissed for 79. The County declared with nine wickets down for 57 and New Zealand had lost three wickets for 51 runs in their second innings when stumps were drawn. The weather was fine but the wicket was sticky. The four last Hampshire wickets fell for an additional 24 runs. Creese made a pluoky effort against the good bowling of Allcott and Vivian. The New Zealanders opened their first Innings badly, Cromb and Mills being dismissed for two runs. The New Zealand batsmen were powerless against the accurate bowling of Kennedy. The wicket was one of the most difficult the visitors have yet encountered

Kennedy spun the ball both ways, and made considerable pace off the pitch. He bowled 24 overs, 11 of which were maidens. . Vivian's Fine Innings. Vivian played a fine innings under the conditions, When lie was , dismissed after lunch ire had scored all but five of the total. Blunt showed a resolute defence for a lengthy period before he went out leg-before to a ball that kept low. The ’Hampshire batsmen attempted to force the pace in their second innings, but were unable 1o take risks with impunity before the accurate bowling of Cromb and Allcott. The latter bowled 12 overs, two of which were maidens, and Cromb ten overs, five being maidens. , New Zealand were left 45 minutes to score 83 runs for victory.
