In every case they should insist that the Truck to do the job should be of United Kingdom manufacture for three main reasons: — 1. Great Britain to-day is manufacturing Trucks which j surpass the produces of any other country in the world in efficiency, long-life and economy of operation. 2. Great Britain is now virtually your only remaining market for Dairy Produce; high tariff walls have i excluded you from all other markets. j 1 3. Great Britain cannot continue to buy from you': unless you buy more of her goods in return.' In the five years ending 1930 the Home Country took £81,005,062 more of New Zealand products than we did or hers. This cannot go on. Our Motor Imports from all countries for five years totalled £21,534,850. Of these only £5,103,003, or less than 25%, came from Great Britain. It will pay every dairyfarmer in the Dominion to insist on buying British Cars and British Trucks.
