Winter Qamos. The local Veterans journeyed to Ts Kuiti on Saturday to contest the Boles Cup with Te Kuiti Veterans and an exciting bout resulted in a win for Otorohanga by 14 points do 11. In the game between Otewa and Otorohanga seniors victory went to the town team by 8 points to 3. Klo Kio defaulted to Ilonikiwi. The-High School beat Otewa junior* by 5 points to 3. A good display of basketball was witnessed when the Kihikihi girls beat the Otorohanga A team by 6 goals to 4. The visitors were aftewards entertained at afternoon tea. | The second round of the President’* I Trophy for lady golfers resulted—• Mrs Leigh, 98—2 G—72; Mrs Hitchings, 107—32—75; Mrs Morley, 105 —30—75; Mrs Craig, 111—36—75; Miss Ilitchings, 103—26—77; Miss McKerras, 115—36—79; Mrs Cowern, 11 1—32—79; Mrs Hotson, 107—28 79; Miss Corboy, 115—36—79. Early Milking Season. Many units of the dairying herds of the district are coming into profit, and the bulk of the cows will be producing early next month.
