Tito butts of twenty-two books of tickets in Ihe Christchurch Free Ambulance .Society’s Art Union, were found among some rubbish that had been brought to the Christchurch destructor. All the tickets had been sold at a shilling each, and Hie names of tiie purchasers were on the hulls, but if it had not been for (lie fact, that the books were noticed among tiie rubbish, they would nol have participated in tiie drawing for prizes. 'ldle honks were well soiled with tea s ains, and it seems Hint they must have been carelessly thrown into a nihliirih bin. They were handed lo a member of Ihe St. .John Free Ambulance Association, who intends to forward them on to the Christchurch Free Ambulance Society.
