LATE COMMERCIAL
STOCK SALE. AT FRANKTON YARDS. SHEEP PRICES ADVANCED. Sheep quotations at the weekly ■stock sale at the Frankton yards today showed a decided rise. Beef prices were very firm at late rates and the values for pigs were also firm. There was a medium yarding of sheep, a good yarding of beef and an average yarding of pigs. Up to the time of going to press, the auctioneers quote as follows:

The Farmers Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report: At our usual weekly sale in the Frankton yards to-day we yarded a good entry of fat ewes, which met with a good sale. Smaller yardings of wethers carqe forward and consequently prices jN&e 3s per head. Fewer lambs were varded and competition was not so keen. A light yarding of pigs came forward; no heavy baconers were yarded. A good yarding of stores and weaners. We penned ox beef In good numbers and prices were on a par with recent quotations. Prices ranged as follows: Prime runners, £3 11s to £4 4s; vealers, £1 to 27s 6d; medium weight fat bullocks, £7 3s to £7 15s; lighter, £6 2s to £f7; light, £4 17s 6d to £5 16s; heavy prime fat cows, £5 17s 6d to £8; medium, £4 16s to £5 1 is; lighter, £3 8s to/£4; prime fat wethers, 21s 6d to 22s 3d; medium, 19s lid to 20s Id; prime fat ewe 6,14 s9d to 16s; medium, 12s 6d to 14s 6d; fat lambs, 14s 6d to 16s; light 10s to lbs; light baconers, £2 17s to £3; heavy porkers, £2 7s to £’2 10s; light and medium, 33s to £2 3s; sows and litters, £5 to £5 ss; sows In pig, to £4 10s. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., quote:—Heavy fat wethers to 21s 6d; two-tooth ewes to 23s 9d; fat ewes, 14s 6d to 18s 6d; lighter fat ewes, 12s 6d to 13s 6d; heavyfat lambs 18s to 20s; lighter fat lambs, 13s 6d to 14s; light fat lambs, 11s 6d to 13s; good fat bullocks, £6 17s 6d to £7 7s 6d; lighter fat bullooks, £5 2s 6d to £6 10s; fat cows, £6 7s 6d to £7 17s 6d; lighter fat cows, £5 11s to £5 173 6d; light fat cows to £4 10s. Baconers £2 18s to £3 9s; porkers, 38s 6d to £2 Bs. Loan and Mercantile Company.
