AUCKLAND SESSIONS. ONE OF THE HEAVIEST. i (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The Supreme Court sessions, which opened to-day, will be one of the heaviest on record. Besides 21 criminal cases there are over 80 civil actions set down, plus 60 in divorce Jurisdiction.

TIMARU, Tuesday

The criminal -sessions of the Supreme Court opened to-day, before his Honour Mr Justice Adams. There was only one case for the grand jury a charge of sending a threatening letter—against John William Roundhill, in which the jury found a true bill.

The Court is hearing -the re--trial of William Watson, of Temuka, on a charge of arson.

PALMERSTON SESSIONS. FOUR CRIMINAL CASES. (By Teltffraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N„ Tuesday. The quarterly session of the Supreme Court was opened to-day, before his 'Honour Mr Justice Reed, who commented that the calendar was rather longer than usual in Palmerston North, which had a record of be'ng fairly free from crime. On this occasion there were four criminal oases for consideration.
