WIFE’S ALLEGATIONS.
DREW £l7O OF HER MONEY. CLAIM FOR MAINTENANCE. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. “ He stood over me while I signed the withdrawal slips and then drew £l7O of my money from the bank." This allegation and many others were made by Elsie Elizabeth Maude Court against Robert Harold Court this morning, when she applied for separation, maintenance and guardianship orders, on the grounds that her husband had failed to provide adequately for herself and her children and had been persistently cruel. In the dispute are Government and local body debentures to the value of £5050, whcih are claimed by the wife. The Magistrate made an order giving Mrs Court the custody of two of the children, who had been taken from her home by defendant, and also granted a separation order. The question of maintenance was deferred pending the result of proceedings in the Supreme Court regarding assets.
