WOMEN’S CONTEST. BRITAIN DEFEATS FRANCE. ALL THE MATCHES WON. (Omcial Wireless.) RUGBY, June IS. In the second day's play of the women’s international lawn tennis match against France at Eastbourne, Britain again won all, the singles and doubles matches. During the two days’ encounter Britain won by 12 matches to lo\e.
WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. LONDON, June IS. This is the first time since full seeding has been in operation at Wimbledon in the men’s singles that two Englishmen (Perry and Austin) have been among the select eight. In the women's singles Hie seeded players are Miss Xuttall. Miss Mudford and Mrs ’Whittingstall (Britain), Fraulein Ausscm and Fraulein Kraliwinkel (Germany), Madame Mathieu (France), Miss Jacobs (America) and Fenorita do Alvarez (Spain).
