THE IWANUKAU SEAT. AUCKLAND, Friday. The services of Mr S. Rickards, of Mangere, arc being sought by a number of members of the Reform Party as their candirjale for the Manukau seat at the general election. Mr Rickards is the president of the IJauraki executive of the Reform League.
PREPARATION OF LEGISLATION. MEETING OF CABINET. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WEL LING TON, Thursday. Tlie Cabinet is busy upon Hie preparation of legislation for Hie session which will open next Thursday. There was practically a full muster ■of Ministers to-day, when questions concerning the business to lie placed before Hie House and the contents of this year's Budget were brought under review. Present indications are I hat Hie Budget will not lie ready for presentation until well into next month.
