WEDDING.

BIRD—ROBERTSON. The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church. Raglan, last Wednesday. between Olive Winifred, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs N. D. Robertson, Raglan, and Sydney, only son of the late Mr F. R. and Mrs Bird, of Raglan and Kelson. Rev. W. T. F. Skey, vicar of Raglan, performed -the ceremony and Mrs A. G. Kirkwood pre-sided-at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on tho arm of her father, wore a long froolc of ivory satin, richly embroidered, and a beautiful veil and orange blossom. She oarried a shower bouquet of white begonia and chrysanthemums, and palest pink roses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Misses Yvonne Robertson, sister of the bride, and Janet Harsant. The former wore an ankle-length frock of primrose floral taffeta made with flared skirt and georgette york, a Dutch cap of taffeta and primrose tulle. She oarried a bouquet of yellow and pink flowers and maiden-hair fern. The latter wore an ankle-length frock of apple-green floral taffeta, made with flared skirt and georgette yoke, a Dutoh cap of taffeta and green tulle. .She carried a bouquet of pink flowers and maiden-

hair fern. The flower girl was little Pat Robertson, youngest sister of -the bride, and she wore a long Victorian frock of pink crepe ■de chine, with Dutch cap and carried a gold basket of autumn-tinted flowers and foliage. The best man was Mr Maurice McKenna, and Mr Douglas Robertson was groomsman. The bride's mother wore a floral velvet frock of autumn shades, with hat to tone, and fox furs.

Thirty guests were... entertained afterwards at a reception given by Mr and Mrs Robertson.

The happy couple left by motorcar for a tour of the North Island.
