President Hindenburg lias signed new financial decrees which are expected to yield £90,000,000 and to turn a deficit of £02,000,000 into a surplus of £28,000,000. Practically every German is affected by ilie decrees. The pensions of GOO,OOO war invalids are reduced 10 per cent, and those of an even greater number of widows and orphans arc reduced by a similar percentage. Two hundred thousand persons will lie added In (he present 500,000 unemployed, who receive no benefit of any description from llirs Government. All taxpayers are to lie subjected to new income tax burden.
