H. W. AUSTIN ENGAGED.
TO MARRY ACTRESS. The engagement of Mr H. W. Austin, the British international lawn tennis player, to Miss Phyllis Konstam, the English film actress, was announced at Bournemouth recently. They have been secretly engaged for •seme time. Austin, who is 24, is the best lawn tennis player England has had since the days of the Dohertys. Miss Phyllis Konstam said to a Daily Mail reporter: "We are to be married very quietly, but we have not yet decided when, as I am just starting work on a new film." When asked if she intended to give up film work, she replied: “Gracious, no!" Miss Konstam, who is 24, Is small and dark, with a charming singing voice and a devotion to fencing, tennis, and books. Her family is English of Dutch extraction.
