ATTITUDE OF PRESBYTERIANB. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The report of the Church Union Committee was submitted to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church by the Bev. J. B. Blanchard to-day. He said the statement would first be sent to the church courts and congregations so that the mind of Ihc whole Church could be asertained before any negotiations were entered into with other Churches. lie believed Hint the Anglican divinity should he solved before they could expect any negotiations with that. Church. .Moreover, lie felt that. Initiative should come from the Anglican Church, but. Archbishop Averlll had made no such move. The Rev. W. Lawson Marsh submitted an overture from the Auckland Presbytery asking the Assembly lo agree that, in any negotiations that, might he begun with other Churches, the Anglican Church should he included.
The amendment that the Anglican Church should be Included was lost.
