leader of opposition. VISIT TO GISBORNE. . (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Wednesday. The Leader of the Reform Party, the Right Hon. J. G. Coates, arrived at Gisborne to-day on a two days’ visit. He will leave for Dargaville, via Rotorua, on Friday. WELLINGTON NORTH SEAT. MR G. TROUP FOR REFORM. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Mr G. A. Troup, former Mayor of Wellington, who was previously announced as an Independent candidate for the Wellington North seat at the general election, has been chosen as the Reform candidate for that constituency. Other candidates so far announced for the seat are Sir John Luke, who previously held the seat as a Reform member and who will stand as Independent this year, and the sitting Labour member, Mr C. H. Chapman.
