A JUBILEE YEAR.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—l was somewhat taken with the suggestion made by “Free Lance” in his Saturday’s notes that an international year of jubilee should be proclaimed. I firmly believe that in that proposal is the germ which, would compose our international troubles and do much to usher in the millennium. All the nations would be the better off therefor, and I would like to see the matter taken up and vigorously prosecuted. Here is an opportunity for branches of the League of Nations’ Union, Peace Societies, the Churches, and all who are anxious to put the peace of the world on a sure and stable footing. It seems a big' Ideal, but surely it is worth striving for. If the world could attain to it, how happy the people would be.—l am, etc., PAX. Ngaruawahia, June 1, 1931.
