WINTER SHOW CUP. PLAY AT ST. ANDREWS. MORNING ROUND RESULTS. The Winter Show Cup competition promoted annually by the Hamilton Golf Club began at St. Andrews this morning, under good golfing conditions, there being no wind or rain, though foggy conditions in the earlier hours rendered the greens heavy. Decision lu this event is reached by two rounds of irydal play on handicap, aifd this year'the entries, which included a large proportion of players from clubs outside Hamilton, reached the number of 101, which is believed to be a record for this club. The fact that the large field had all been got away by a few minutes after 10 o’clock speaks well for the efficient organisation of the secretary, Mr Guy Blndon, ably assisted by Messrs T. Atkins (captain) and T. Simpson (vice-captain). In conjunction with the main event a medal handicap was played in the morning and a bogey handicap In the afternoon.
