MORRINSVILLE NEWS.
LADIES’ HOCKEY CLUB. The Morrinsville ladies’ hockey team played against the Te Aroha ladies on Saturday afternoon In the Recreation Grounds, Morrinsville. Despite the showery afternoon, a good match was played. The score was 1 all. LADIES’ GOLF CLUB. Owing to the rainy afternoon on Saturday the Morrinsville Ladies’ Golf Club did not hold the draw for the ladies’ Canadian foursome. PLAY READING CIRCLE. On Saturday night about twelve of the Workers' Educational Association play readers assembled at the Morrinsville Library. Several of the oneact plays of to-day were read. MANGATEPARU DANCE. A very successful little dance was held in the Mangateparu Hall on Saturday night in aid of the school funds.' About £5 15s was taken at the door. Excellent music was supplied by Mrs W. M. Kerr and an extra was played by Miss Kerr. Mr A. Carter and Mr N. E. Lehmann were the Ms.C. The supper arrangements xvero in the hands of the wives of the committeemen. Mr M. E. Barrowclough in a short speech thanked those who were present and for making the evening such a success. ■,
