WEDDING.

TEDDY—BOARD. The marriage was solemnised at the Waerenga Memorial Church on Thursday, May 28, beLween Rita, only daughter of Mr and Mrs B. A. Board, of Te Kauwhata, and Herbert, only son of Mr and Mrs C. Teddy, of Waerenga. The Rev. Bush King, of Huntly, performed the ceremony, and Mrs Hunter played the wedding music. The bride wore a gown of ivory chiffon, fashioned with close-fitting corsage and full flared skirt falling to the ground. Her veil was held by a circlet of orange blossom and fell to form a train, and she carried a sheaf of chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Evelyn Teddy, who wore apricot georgette trimmed with silver lace, and Miss Ethel Carley (Hamilton), who wore mauve georgette trimmed with silver lace. Both bridesmaids wore felt bats to tone and carried bouquets. Miss Joy Marshall, as flower-girl, wore pale green organdie with pink rosebuds, a felt poke bonnet to tone, and she carried a basket of flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr C. Carley as best man, and Mr R. Wingate as groomsman. After the wedding a reception wa.s held in the Te Kauwhata Hall. Mrs Board received her guests wearing a saxo blue satin beaute ensemble trimmed with’ fawn, and carried a golden posy. In the absence of the bridegroom's mother, who was ill In the Waikato Hospital, Mrs Board was assisted by the bridegroom’s sister, Mrs D. Nicholson, who wore a brown costume and hat to tone.

About fifty guests were present at the reception, among whom were Mrs Blossom (Christchurch), Mrs Olsen (Ohakune), Mrs and Miss Cook (Wellington), Mrs B. Carley (Hamilton), Miss Elliot (Ohaupo), Mrs J. Bigwood (Waitoa), and local residents including Mrs Mclnnes, Mrs A. B. Carley, Miss G. Carley, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Bell, Mrs Cambrie, Mrs G. Marshall, Mrs K. B. Pulliam, Mrs R. Pulham, Mrs Rodda, Mrs Donaldson, Mrs Scholium, Miss Brown, Miss Prickett and Miss Bruce. Both the church and the hall had been tastefully decorated by the ladies of the district.

In the evening Mr and Mrs Board gave a social evening, about 300 guests being present. The hall had been decorated with streamers and lycopodium and music for the dancing was played by Allen’s Orchestra, Huntly.
