ABANDONED FARMS.
TO BE THROWN OPEN. FOR BENEFIT OF UNEMPLOYED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.} WELLINGTON Tuesday. Replying to a deputation from the Wellintgon Unemployment Committee to-day, the Minister of Labour said the Lands Department is carrying out complete investigation into the position of abandoned farms. When this was completed the farms would be thrown open for selection by the unemployed. He hoped to make an announcement in a day or two in regard to the whole position.
The'young pilot who plans to fly from Australia to England in six and a-haif days.
