A UNIQUE TRIBUTE. 'FROM UNEMPLOYED MEN. Amid criticism to which the Unemployment Board is subjected there often emerges a congratulatory note that is all the more appreciated because it is as sincere as it is unexpected. ■One of the most interesting of such was forwarded from Foxton. It is reported that at a meeting of the local registered unemployed, when about 60 men attended, and the chairman and the secretary of the local unemployment committee were present by invitation, the following resolution was unanimously carried: “That this meeting of Foxton registered relief unemployed workers express their thanks and gratitude to the Unemployment Board for Nvhat they have done, and express the hope that circumstances will enable them to carry on.” In forwarding the resolution the secretary of the local committee wrote: “This 'resolution really expresses the sentiments of all those present at the meeting, and I feel sure that you and the members of the board will feel gratified."
