A modern version of “The Bells,” with Donald Calthorp in the role which the late Sir Henry Irving used to play on the stage, Is being made into a talkie in England. Tho cast includes Edward Sinclair, O. B. Clarence, Ralph Trueman, and Wilfred and Billy Shine. • • • • Janette Macdonald, star of “The Love Parade,” “The Vagabond King,” and “Monte Carlo” recently announced in Los Angeles that she will be married in June to Mr R. T. Ritchie, a New York broker. "The Lyons Mail” is being made at the Twickenham (England) Studios as a talking film, with Sir John MartinHai'vey playing tho dual role of Lesurgucs and Dubose, honest merchant and villainous drunkard respectively. It, is 39 years since Sir John first played in "The Lyons Mail," when ho was cast in the difficult cameo characterisation of Joliquet, the stranso tavern hoy.
