AT THE SHOW.

HIGH CLASS WRESTLING. At the Winter Show during Show days and evenings in a huge marquee, will be held a series of wrestling ' contests promoted toy those two well-known showmen, Afrikander Dave T. Meekin, and Perce Lennon, who in ; Australia is wellknown as one of the biggest promoters of boxing and wrestling in the outdoor field. Incidentally it was in Perce Lennon's tent on the Maitland Showground in 1912 that the.famous late Les Darcy received his first tuition in the noble art of boxing and jabs and slams that so well fitted him to attain his high pedestal in the flstio world. These- two showmen have been touring New Zealand for the past few -months with a troupe of Australian, New Zealand and international wrestlers, included in which is Anton Koolman, the Esthonian wizard middleweight champion wrestler of the Southern Hemisphere, who, during the Show, will undertake to- defeat all comers, irrespective of weight; also Phil Benson, the Melbourne lightweight; Jack. Carey, the ~l)iew Zealander; Len Milburn, a good heavyweight wrestler,- who hails ■ from-Tas-mania; Tiger Jack Hood, the Southern heavyweight and Len - Naylor, -the Aucklander. The management state that suitable inducements in. the way of cash prizes will 'be offered to an>who oare to try their grappling ability against the visitors.. There is none barred. Local wrestlers especially Invited to try their ability against the visitors. 902
