COUNTY CEREMONY.
MR INBOLb EULOGISED. LONG AND FAITHFUL SERVICED A pleasing ceremony was perform|4 at the conclusion of the business at the annual meeting of the Waikato 'County Council to-day, .when a photo or Mr T. B. Insoll, who retired from the position of County Clerk some six months ago, was hung on the wall ol the Council Chamber. ~ Eulogistic reference was made to Mr Insoll’s long association with .the county by the chairman, Mr ,T. Hinton. Appointed as county clerk in 1904 Mr Insoll had filled an important position with credit to himself and Mid county. He was a man upright in, hi* dealings with all men and painstaking in the arduous duties whioh his po*l; tlon often entailed. Mr Hinton pointed out that the county was formed some 54 years ago, and Mr Insoll had served as clerk for half that period: Mention was made by the engineer (Mr A A. Woodward) of the assistance the late clerk had been to him during his association with county affairs. , . Mr C. F. E. Barton, the new clerk, thanked Mr Insoll for the assistance he had rendered him on his taking over office. It was Mr Insoll s kindly advice and co-operation that had given the speaker his knowledge of Waikato County affairs. Councillors joined with the other speakers in wishing Mr Insoll every happiness in his retirement. Mr Insoll suitably replied.
