METROPOLITAN SHOW.
FIXTURE AT AUCKLAND. The Auckland A. and P. Association has just published its 78th annual schedule for the show to be held on February 27 and 28. A splendid classification in the various types of stock and produce has been arranged, and excellent prize money has been allotted to each section. Special provision has been made in the jumping section, an innovation having been made by providing a special programme of horse events for the evening of the 27th. Sections with special awards have been provided for horses, cattle, sheep and pigs; also rabbits and poultry, home industries, ' honey and bee products, needlework and photography. For the champion lady’s hack the Scott Trustees have provided a very handsome trophy to be won outright, in addition to which they have made a generous cash donation towards the prize money. New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd., have donated a very fine silver challenge cup for the champio'n Jersey cow.
